Fare-FREE rides are available on the ART Bus for all reduced-fare passengers (seniors 65+ and individuals with disabilities) from February 4th through the 28th. Valid Identification Required.

Promo FAQs

Yes, ART Bus Reduced Fare passes added to the virtual shopping cart (Token Transit/A-Way WeGo app) after 3:00 AM on February 4 through February 28 will be marked $0.00. After completing the transaction, the Reduced Fare pass will appear in the A-Way WeGo app wallet, ready to be activated and used.

Using Tap2Ride? Inform the driver of how many Reduced Fare riders, and tap a contactless form of payment for the remaining riders (Adult and/or Children ART fares)

In honor of Transit Equity Day, ART Bus Reduced Fare passes are FREE from February 4 – February 28, 2025.

FREE passes must be activated and used before 3AM on March 1, 2025 when the promo ends.

Reduced Fares are applicable to seniors 65 years or older & individuals with disabilities.

Types of Identification

The following identification cards are acceptable for Senior Reduced Fare ID:

  • Valid drivers license
  • California DMV identification card
  • Medicare Card
  • OCTA Senior Reduced Fare ID
  • OCTA ACCESS Reduced Fare ID Card
You must show proper identification when using a reduced fare.
Types of Identification

The following identification cards are acceptable for Disabled Reduced Fare ID:

  • Medicare Card
  • Service Connected Veteran ID
  • Braille Institute ID Card
  • Persons with disabilities cards from other transit agencies
  • Customer receipt for a DMV Disabled Person Placard
  • OCTA Disabled Reduced Fare ID
  • OCTA ACCESS Reduced Fare ID

Purchased passes that are not activated do not expire. Save the ART Bus Reduced Fare pass for a future ride!

All sales are final. No refunds, returns, or cancellations after purchase.

The Reduced Fares promotion is only valid with the ART Bus. Riders traveling to and from the John Wayne Airport (SNA) must purchases passes (children 2 years and under ride free).
