If you are 65 years or older, you can enjoy riding our services using a reduced fare. You must show proper identification when purchasing and using a reduced fare.
Types of Identification
The following identification cards are acceptable for Senior Reduced Fare ID:
- Valid drivers license
- California DMV identification card
- Medicare Card
- OCTA Senior Reduced Fare ID
- OCTA ACCESS Reduced Fare ID Card

The following identification cards are acceptable for Disabled Reduced Fare ID:
- Medicare Card
- Service Connected Veteran ID
- Braille Institute ID Card
- Persons with disabilities cards from other transit agencies
- Customer receipt for a DMV Disabled Person Placard
- OCTA Disabled Reduced Fare ID
- OCTA ACCESS Reduced Fare ID
When purchasing or using reduced fares and passes, you must show proper identification

- Physical passes become activated once they are used onboard an ART bus for the first time
- Digital/mobile passes are available in your wallet section of the A-Way WeGo app until you activate them. Just tap “Activate” to start the countdown towards expiration
- Once activated, digital passes display a clock and status bar at the bottom of the pass screen. Avoid accidental activation by waiting until you’re about to board an ART bus
- ART multi-day passes work for consecutive days.
- Once activated, ART and EVE passes will expire at 2:59AM on the day immediately following the indicated pass duration.
- For example, a 1-day pass activated on January 1st will expire at 2:59 AM the following day, like January 2nd
- Similarly, a 3-day pass activated on January 1st will expire at 2:59 AM on January 4th
- ART and EVE Tickets are non-refundable, however, they never expire and can be used in the future.

The A-Way WeGo app offers mobile fares and passes for the Anaheim Transportation Network’s public transportation services, including ART, FRAN, and EVE. Passengers can purchase, store, and use digital passes through the app.

If you’re planning a trip to ARTIC using your Metrolink pass, we’ve got great news for you! On the same day you use your Metrolink pass, you can ride the ART bus for FREE. That’s right – two passes, double the fun!
How it works: When you board the ART bus, simply show your Metrolink pass to the bus driver. They will grant you complimentary access to the ART bus for the ultimate riding experience. No extra fees, no additional hassle – just pure enjoyment!

- Anaheim Regional Transportation (ART) offers contactless fare payment technology on its buses called Tap2Ride.
- Visa and Mastercard contactless-enabled bank cards and mobile wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, and Fitbit Pay) are accepted. Cash is not accepted on the bus.
- To Tap2Ride, you will tap the payment reader as you board the bus. If traveling in a group, the driver will assist you and you will still be able to tap once for the group.
- Contactless payments are safe and secure.
