Anaheim Resort Transportation Exceeds 9 Million Annual Passengers

      

Anaheim, CA, 10/20/2015 – Today, Anaheim Resort Transportation announced it has provided transportation services to more than 9 million passengers in FY 2014/2015.  Established in 1995, ART provides clean-fuel public transportation services to Orange County visitors, residents and commuters in and around The Anaheim Resort®.

 

“This past year has been an exciting time as we’ve celebrated the opening of the Southern Californian’s newest transportation facility, ARTIC.  We also initiated fixed route service between The Anaheim Resort® and several areas in City of Costa Mesa, including South Coast Plaza,” said ART Chairman Paul Sanford.

 

The Anaheim Transportation Network (ATN) provides a variety options, including ART service, through a franchise agreement with the City of Anaheim. In the last year alone, more than 1.5 million passenger miles were provided to the public through ART’s fleet of 73 clean-fuel vehicles.

 

“In addition to providing transit service to over 9 million riders this year, ART also launched several technology enhancements that will benefit the traveling public. Those enhancements included a new mobile ticketing app which provides our riders the option of using an e-ticket versus a paper ticket.  We also introduced our “text2go” feature so that riders can obtain real-time bus arrival times via their smart phone,” said Chairman Paul Sanford.
