San Clemente is one of California’s favorite beach destinations for sun, sand, and surf, as well as great shopping and dining. San Clemente is known as the “Spanish Village by the Sea” and features the historical Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens. San Clemente is the southernmost beach city in Orange County, with nearly perfect weather all year round. In this quaint beach town, salty air floats on ocean breezes, coral trees display their fiery leaves as the palms sway, and bougainvillea gathers in bright clusters along sun-splashed walls.
San Clemente Pier is a great place to start your visit. Watch surfers and fishermen, enjoy the gorgeous beach views from the end of the pier, or have a bonfire right on the sand! San Onofre, the Pier, and T-Street are the most popular surf spots in San Clemente. Professional surfers come from around the world to surf these beaches and compete in competitions. Many of San Clemente’s beaches are ADA accessible and have BBQ/fire rings available.
Inland from San Clemente Pier you will find Del Mar Street – the best place for dining. Restaurant specialties include Mexican food, pizza, wine bars, and upscale restaurants with a sophisticated vibe. Surfing, whalewatching, and sportfishing are fun activities in San Clemente, and the scenic drive along the scenic views of Pacific Coast Highway is a favorite pastime of both locals and tourists. Are you ready to shop? Discover more than 40 stores at the Outlets at San Clemente, Orange County’s first coastal outlet shopping experience.
